As of Monday, 16 Sep 2013, Capt Richard Bush has stepped down as Commander of the Effingham Cadet Squadron. Recently imposed term limits on Unit Commanders at all levels of Civil Air Patrol require that a four year term limit each appointment. Capt Bush served his entire four years and has led the Squadron through unprecedented growth while providing a quality program for both senior members and cadets. Capt Bush will remain an integral part of the operations of the Unit as the Administrative Officer, Drug Demand and Reduction Officer, and Retention and Recruiting Officer. It is because of his level of dedication as well as the dedication of all of the senior members that the Squadron is able to exceed expectations. Replacing Capt Bush as Commander is 1st Lt Jeff Lariscy.
